Who We Help

Future Roots Project believes that in order to build a better future, we must concentrate on helping our most cherished resource – children. When children grow up in communities with access to basic resources, have teachers who are adequately prepared to deal with challenges in classrooms and barriers to educational goals, and with an ethos of fostering creativity, they are more likely to develop a love of learning. By continuing to nurture education and wellness we help make communities stronger.

We believe that teachers play a crucial role in advancing society and our primary project is a Central American vocational training program that over 300 elementary school educators have completed. By sharing literacy strategies, educational games, songs, and activities, we are seeing a shift away from the old methodology of memorization, repetition, copying and dictation.Future Roots Project believes that in order to build a better future, we must concentrate on helping our most valuable resource – children. Now, students are being challenged to think critically, solve complex problems, comprehend advanced material and express themselves fluently.
